HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is primarily used to alleviate the symptoms associated with decrease in hormone levels. HRT can be used for both men and women to address hormonal imbalances or deficiencies. Some individuals opt for bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, which uses hormones that are chemically identical to those produced by the body.
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for Women: Hormone Replacement Therapy is commonly used in women to manage the symptoms such as fatigue, hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, diminished or reduced sexual performance or desire, hair loss or hair thinning, difficulty losing weight, anxiety, sleep disturbances, difficulty with memory, difficulties with memory, frequent headaches or migraines and bladder problems.
Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for Men: Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT): TRT is the primary form of Hormone Replacement Therapy for men with low testosterone levels. Low Testosterone levels can result in symptoms like fatigue, reduced libido, mood changes, irritability, anxiety, erectile changes, absent or infrequent ejaculations, frequent headaches or migraines, joint and muscle symptoms such as poor recovery after exercising, inability gaining muscles and joint pain amongst some other symptoms.
Regular follow-up with a healthcare provider is important while undergoing HRT to assess its effectiveness and make adjustments as necessary.
