BOTOX

Neuromodulators such as Botox can temporarily smoothen facial fine lines and certain facial wrinkles. The active ingredient in Botox® and other neuromodulators is botulinum toxin. The discovery of Botox stems way back into the 1920s where botulinum toxin was discovered to cause muscle weakness. Further future research revealed that botulism could be used to treat muscle spasm, crossed eyes, chronic migraines, overactive bladder amongst other diseases.

Botox was FDA approved for cosmetic use in 2002 and has since remained the leading nonsurgical procedure in the U.S. due to its rejuvenating anti-aging effects.

Juvederm is stabilized hyaluronic acid used to smoothen moderate to severe facial, wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth or shape facial contours. Juvederm injections are customized for each patient depending on his or her needs.
